It is bone-chilling cold in the whole of North India. At the same time, the temperature is continuously falling in Delhi-NCR. Due to the lack of sunlight and cold wave running throughout the day, not only people are having trouble getting out of the house, but it is also becoming difficult to avoid this cold inside the house. However, one of the traditional medical methods present in India for this cold weather, Yoga and Pranayama are not only very useful but also better ways to stay healthy without any expense and prepare the body to withstand this cold. Tell me too. In such a situation, you can drive away the cold by spending only a few minutes daily with this booster dose of heat. Along with this, immunity can also be strengthened in the body.

Yogguru Dr. Balmukund Shastri , Secretary of SM Yoga Research Institute and Naturopathy Hospital India and Founder and CEO of Shantimarg The Yogashram America, in a conversation with News18 Hindi, is telling about some Pranayama, Kriyas and Yogasanas, which can be done daily sitting at home. So heat is generated in the body and cold is not felt even in severe winter.

Dr. Balmukund explains that Pranayama is so effective that if done properly, you can see its effect within just a few days. They not only generate heat but also transmit energy. Among these, 2 Pranayama and one Yoga Kriya are important.

1. Surya Bhedi Pranayama
There are two holes in our nasika. In these, the left hole is the symbol of Chandranadi which produces cold and the right hole is the symbol of Suryanadi which produces heat in the body. In such a situation, inhaling through the right nostril and exhaling through the left nostril, do the process of Anulom-Vilom Pranayama. Due to this, the heat from Suryanadi will also flow into Chandranadi and heat will be generated in the body.

2. Bhastrika Pranayama
this one has to inhale rapidly and exhale rapidly. This pranayama is also a better option for generating heat in the body. In this, the breath has to be run like a bellow. When the person starts feeling sweat on the forehead or heat in the head, then it has to be stopped.

3. Kapalbhati Kriya
In one of the six purification activities, in Kapalbhati Kriya, only the breath has to be left out, the breath comes in automatically. In this, the heat starts to build up in the body.

4. These Yogasanas are also useful
Heat-producing asanas like Surya Namaskar, Paschimottanasana, Shirasasana, Setubandhasana, Halasana, Dhanurasana, Veerbhadrasana, Trikonasana, Sarvangasana etc. are very effective in winter.

Heart and high blood pressure patients should take care
Dr. Balmukund says that heart patients or high blood pressure patients should not do these pranayama and kapalbhati kriya or they should consult a yoga guru, yoga doctor or Yogacharya. Do as directed. This is a booster dose of heat which can be harmful to these patients.

Take special care of these 2 things
Dr. Balamukund says that whenever you do Pranayama, always keep a smile on your face because the same effect will be seen in your daily life, whatever you keep your face while doing Pranayama. Apart from this, do these Pranayama, Asanas and Kriyas for at least 1 hour in the winter season, then from the very first day, you will feel quickness and warmth in the body.
