Best time For Exercise: Daily exercise is most important for the body, but in the run-of-the-mill life, not everyone has time to exercise in the morning or go to the gym. In such a situation, people are exercising in the morning, afternoon, evening or night. However, even after doing regular exercise, many times neither people are able to lose weight nor control blood sugar, if this is the case with you too, then know that time can be a major reason behind this. Recently, researchers at the University of Bath have found in a study that exercising before breakfast in the morning reduces fat faster and also improves sugar control. At the same time, experts related to Yoga and Ayurveda in India have been explaining this for a long time.

Dr. Balmukund Shastri, Secretary at S M Yoga Research Institute and Naturopathy Hospital India and Founder of Shantimarg The Yogashram America, says, ‘Whatever activity we do, energy is released from the body at that time. This is called ATP. Now the energy that is released, along with it some waste i.e. bad substances also come out, which is called glycolysis cycle. Whatever fat is stored in the body glucose or liver at the time of exercise, it is used as energy.

He says, ‘When we wake up in the morning after 10-12 hours of having dinner, our blood sugar is usually seen to increase because at that time there is more glucose in the body. On the other hand, sugar gets stored in the body in the form of fat from the blood. In such a situation, if we go to exercise or gym early in the morning on an empty stomach, then the extra sugar or fat in our body at that time gets used in the form of energy and comes out.

Apart from this, the amount of ozone is more in the morning and the amount of oxygen is also more and oxygen is also clean, in such a way clean air is available for breathing, lungs remain healthy. By exercising in the morning, the weight also decreases rapidly. There is relief in gas related problems.

If this exercise is done in places like Delhi-NCR where there is a lot of pollution and the air becomes more polluted in the afternoon and evening than in the morning, then it is not beneficial. Since the speed of breathing increases during exercise, at that time we need more oxygen, in such a situation, if we take more polluted air in the body at that time, then it causes harm.

Do not exercise at all in the afternoon
Dr. Balmukund says that if time is not available in the morning, then people can do yoga exercises or gym etc. on an empty stomach only at the time of sunset, do not exercise in the gym at all in the afternoon. This can disturb digestion. Stomach related diseases can occur. Heart problems can happen.

Exercising at night also causes harm
Apart from this, avoid doing exercise or gym at night also. In Ayurveda, keeping in mind the time period of Vata-Pitta and Kapha, then exercise or exercise can be done on an empty stomach only at the time of sunset. According to Ayurveda, Vata increases from 6 to 10 in the morning, Pitta increases from 10 to 2 in the morning, Kapha increases from 2 to 5 in the afternoon. The same sequence continues in the night as well. In such a situation, there should be only Ratcharya i.e. sleep at night. Try to sleep by 9 or 9:30.

Exercising at night spoils the routine cycle. Kapha becomes predominant in the night. During this, the problems of acidity, hyperacidity, heart disease, constipation, diabetes, hypertension etc. are increasing due to exercise.
